About Human Material Loop
Human Material Loop is a material science company developing a new protein-based fiber for the textile industry, derived from waste human hair. Our first commercial material, ādara, is already trademarked within the European Union.
We operate as a business-to-business (B2B) supplier, offering fibers, yarns, and fabrics in both woven and non-woven roll formats. Our current target market is the interior industry, where our materials are used to create acoustic solutions. We develop materials and sell them to companies, designers, product developers, and project developers.
At this stage, we view fashion primarily as a marketing segment rather than a core customer segment, and any fashion collaborations will remain limited in the coming years. Our focus is on delivering high-quality products for interior and retail projects to drive volume — because the more we scale, the more impact we can create.
The company was founded with a clear mission: to turn waste into high-value, functional fibers for the textile industry, sourced and produced locally. Our technology is unique, and it works with existing textile machinery and infrastructure.
Our key stakeholders include:
– Suppliers of hair, such as wig factories, hair salons, and hair collection networks
– Manufacturers of yarn and fabric
– Customers, including architects, designers, and textile purchasing companies
Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to build a new kind of fiber company, delivering extraordinary materials with sustainability and innovation at its core.
A Real Chance to Make a Difference
We’re offering a unique opportunity to join Zsofia, the founder of Human Material Loop, at a crucial stage in building something that can truly change the textile industry for the better. Our mission is to create real, lasting impact—using science and sustainability to rethink how materials are made and used. This journey isn’t easy. It’s hard work, and it requires real commitment to our values and principles. We’re in this for the long haul—building a global company with purpose at its core. But if you’re someone who loves a challenge, is curious, open to learning new things, and wants to be part of something meaningful, you’ll find this incredibly rewarding. We’re looking for people who are hands-on, not afraid to get their hands dirty, and who care deeply about making things better—for the planet, and for the future of manufacturing.
