Senior R&D Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior R&D Scientist to spearhead our research initiatives and optimize processes within our growing company. This senior research role offers the unique opportunity to evolve into the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) position in the future.

 

Key Responsibilities 

– Lead and manage advanced research projects, ensuring the feasibility and efficiency of new developments. 

– Optimize laboratory processes and establish protocols to enhance research outcomes. 

– Set up and manage laboratory operations, employing a variety of analytical techniques. 

– Apply expertise in organic chemistry, biology, and protein studies to drive innovative solutions. 

– Mentor and guide junior researchers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. 

– Engage with experts in the field, coordinating research activities and collaborations. 

– Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. 

– Maintain a solution-oriented mentality, addressing challenges with a proactive approach. 

– Lead material development internally and in close collaboration with external partners. 

– Serve as the main point of contact with collaboration partners (universities, research institutes, industrial business partners). 

– Design experimental procedures, conduct testing, and perform data analysis. 

– Develop internal procedures and recommendations for standardization of material performance testing and Quality Control measures. 

– Write documentation, status reports, and operating procedures. 

– Perform regular literature surveys to monitor recent developments. 

– Represent the company at conferences, delivering talks and engaging with the scientific community. 

– Foster a culture of curiosity and continuous learning, encouraging innovative thinking and problem-solving.

Qualifications

– Advanced degree in Organic Chemistry, Biology, Protein Studies, or a related field. 

– Extensive experience in a senior research role, with demonstrated leadership capabilities. 

– Proven ability to optimize processes and manage laboratory setups. 

– Strong analytical skills with proficiency in various research techniques. 

– Experience in industrialization of developed solutions. 

– Knowledge and experience in characterizing a wide range of materials 

– Fluent in English, both verbally and in written form.

 

Salary & Conditions

– One-year contract with a month trial period, with the goal of establishing a long-term relationship. 

– Competitive salary aligned with the market.
