Jessica Sandoval

Jessica Sandoval is a visual artist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts with a focus on Drawing from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, where she also works as a professor. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions and recognized in various salons, including First Prize in the Textile Category at the 111th Salón Nacional de las Artes (2023), Third Prize at the 66th Salón de Artes Plásticas Manuel Belgrano (2022), and First Prize at the Salón Prilidiano Pueyrredón (2022). Through embroidery and drawing, she develops a personal imagery that explores the macabre, evoking subtle darkness tied to fear, sadness, and anguish. Hair plays a central role in her work, both as material and metaphor, transforming perceptions of waste into poetic permanence.
