Aya Jadon

Aya Jadon is a 28-year-old jewelry designer from Haifa, recently graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design after four years of study, her work is driven by a rebellious spirit and a deep desire for freedom, a few months ago she discovered a box of childhood toys in her parents’ attic, among them a Barbie doll and an old lighter, she dismantled the lighter and reassembled it using new materials, keeping the transformation visible, she replaced parts of the Barbie with hand-carved olive wood, connecting the pieces with delicate pink nylon threads, her jewelry preserves the essence of the original objects while breathing new life into their memories, her materials include copper, brass, aluminum, enamel, olive wood and nylon, her techniques involve hand soldering, carving, enameling, painting and intricate mechanical connections.
