Beindy Aouad is a fashion design student at Polimoda, her work tells intimate stories, blending heritage with moments from daily life, her designs are emotional and reflective, often incorporating unconventional materials, her roots are central to her creative process, inspired by poetry, art, and the quiet beauty of the everyday, her collection titled Roots explores collective trauma and the weight of memory, The Hair Dress, made entirely from real human hair, serves as a metaphor, a tapestry of lives woven together, each strand representing a moment, a cut, a memory, the piece invites discomfort, reflection, and vulnerability, it speaks softly yet powerfully, asking the viewer to look inward, to acknowledge what we carry, what we shed, and what remains.
