Dshamilja Tükerek is a graphic and exhibition designer based in Karlsruhe, Germany, her practice unfolds at the intersection of archival research, printed matter, and curatorial strategies, drawing from material and cultural studies, her installation skeins explores the symbolic power of knots through found and crafted objects, braided hair, textiles, video, drawings, letters, and research materials, knots appear as carriers of memory, affection, and transformation, from love tokens bound in hair to Shakespearean metaphors, the project reflects on gestures of holding on and letting go, knots store their own histories while suggesting the possibility of change, skeins becomes a visual essay on the tension between permanence and impermanence, binding and release, intimacy and distance, evoking narratives both personal and collective.
