Pilar Palazzo, born in 1998 in Córdoba, Argentina, is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Barcelona. Her work spans textiles, jewelry, photography, and experimental materials such as silicone and metal, creating pieces that exist as both artworks and wearable objects. Deeply invested in tactile experience and visual storytelling, she merges craftsmanship with innovation, recently integrating sensors and motors into her practice. In one of her most intimate works with hair, Pilar crafted a handmade alpaca metal frame that holds a photograph, an instant image of her hand holding a lock of her own hair. From the frame, that same lock hangs freely, transforming the piece into a delicate self-portrait, a reflection on memory, transformation, and material presence.
