Renata Molinari lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a practice that spans drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. She studied Physics at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) between 2014 and 2016 and later earned a degree in Visual Arts from the National University of the Arts (UNA) in 2022. Renata’s work has been exhibited in Buenos Aires, La Plata, Miami, and at institutions such as the Klemm Foundation and the Kirchner Cultural Center. In 2021, they created “vitreous humour,” a work that involved recovering a hair-weaving technique used to create earrings by Margarita Sanchez. She invited people to exchange locks of hair for original drawings, creating a personal connection through the handling of hair, which was displayed as part of the performance. This work was driven by the desire to engage with the public on themes of memory, absence, and the phantasmagorical qualities of hair.
